The new myBAS service offers wider coverage in Kangar with a total route distance of 337 km, an increase from 124 km previously. This provides better access to urban and rural communities with the implementation of 5 trunk and 10 feeder routes.

For selected routes, the frequency has been doubled while the operational trunk routes service hours have been extended till 9.00 pm. This includes the main trunk service line from Kangar to Arau (Train Station) which will operate at a frequency of every 30 minutes.

Also, both trunk service line from Kangar to Kuala Perlis (Ferry Terminal) and Kangar to Padang Besar (Thailand Checkpoint) which operate at frequency of every 90 minutes.

Friendly reminders:
  1. Flag the bus in bus terminal or bus stops, then ask bus driver is that correct direction taken before pay bus fare.
  2. Press stopping bell located in left or right windows if wish to alight in next bus stops.
  3. Keep the bus ticket for inspection later.
  4. Strictly NO smoking, drinking or eating allowed in air-conditional environments including public buses, Full Enforced by Malaysia Laws.

KTM Train Station Arau

Arau Train Station is nearest stops with Kuala Perlis ferry terminal, taking Grabcar or Mycar is just 24 minutes away. While taking myBAS is T10 or T14, later transfer myBAS T12 in Kangar.

Currently Arau station serving 2 types of trains:
  1. KTM Komuter which is shuttle trains between Padang Besar (Thailand) and Butterworth (Penang), only can buy tickets before boarding.
  2. KTM Electric Train Services (ETS) is express trains between Padang Besar, Butterworth, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Gemas.

Bus Terminal Kangar

Terminal Bukit Lagi is public transportation hubs for Express bus, Feeder bus and Private hire taxi, which located inside capital of Perlis, Kangar.

If you're missed buses from Kuala Perlis Bus Terminal, you can order Grabcar/Mycar or take myBAS T12 to Terminal Bukit Lagi for more choices of express buses.
Note: myBAS T12 (RM 2.90) last bus 8:00 pm from Kuala Perlis.

If you're missed trains from KTM Arau Train Station, you can order Grabcar/Mycar or take myBAS T10 or T14 to this Bus Terminal and transfer bus to Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Johor Bahru and Singapore.
Note: myBAS T10 (RM 2) last bus 7:45 pm from Changlun OR myBAS T14 (RM 2) last bus 7:45pm from Alor Setar, please wait in Bus Hub Arau for 30-40 minutes. 

For going Thailand via Padang Besar, you can take myBAS T11 from this terminal, alternative is get private hire taxi for best price if you travel with 2-3 friends. Grabcar/Mycar will cost around RM 50-60 to Padang Besar custom checkpoint.
Note: myBAS T11 (RM 5.30) last bus 7:45 pm from Kangar.
Padang Besar custom checkpoint operating hours 6:00 am till 10:00 pm, alternative is Bukit Kayu Hitam custom checkpoint operating 24 hours with Overtime Charges imposed by Custom officers.
